Over on the Gonzo Weekly, the antecedents of Episode Six the 60s band which once featured several future members of Deep Purple, and which can be found on a Gonzo DVD, have been being discussed.

Hi Jon,
Thanks for the weekly newsletter, it's very enjoyable and always includes some interesting nuggets and good news (this time, for me, the Steve Hillage DVD reissue).
Your story about Episode 6 got me perusing my music bible (Terry Hounsome & Tim Chambre's "New Rock Record") to check up on the other members of the group.
Interestingly, the later line-up included drummer Mick Underwood, who was previously a member of the UK band The Outlaws, which also numbered in its ranks Chas Hodges and Ritchie Blackmore!
Best wishes & thanks again.
James Waterworth

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?
Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
