‘We still have a good rapport’: Geoff Downes is friendly with Steve Howe, despite exit from Asia

When Steve Howe quit Asia, he was only leaving one of the two band lineups that he shares with Geoff Downes. The pair continues forward in the current edition of Yes — and Downes says there’ve been no hard feelings.
“We still have a good rapport with each other,” Downes tells Eric Blair in the video below.
Howe co-founded Asia with Downes, John Wetton and Carl Palmer, eventually appearing on five of the group’s studio albums — including its blockbuster 1982 debut and — after a long hiatus, then a 2006 reunion — on last year’s well-received anniversary recording XXX.
Howe was replaced by the 26-year-old Sam Coulson, in an announcement made later the same day.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
