MORE ON ANNIE HASLAM'S INJURED BACK

Renaissance
Upset: Annie Haslam with Renaissance
Renaissance have been forced to postpone the first nine shows of their imminent tour after singer Annie Haslam contracted a serious spine injury.
She’s been ordered not to travel for two to three weeks and doctors have told her to wear a back brace for at least two months.
The band were due to kick off a North American trek tomorrow night in Washington DC, but the concert will have to be rescheduled alongside the following dates in Atlanta, Orlando, Clearwater, Fort Lauderdale, Montreal, Londonderry, Foxborough, and Albany.
Renaissance aim to appear at Ridgefield, Connecticut, on Friday 19 October – the first date on which Haslam’s specialist says she can work again.
The singer says: “I am very upset about having to postpone these shows. We’ve all been so excited about bringing our classics to the fans as well as previewing material from the new studio album, Grandine il Vento.”

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
