LINK: Martin Stephenson and The Daintees play Darwen

Martin Stephenson and the DainteesMartin Stephenson and the Daintees
MARTIN Stephenson and The Daintees, like Aztec Camera, Prefab Sprout and Orange Juice, trod a lighter musical step, immersing themselves in divine melodies and romantic lyricism.
Stephenson’s album Boat to Bolivia established him as one of the finest songwriters of his generation and that mix of rockabilly, show tunes, rootsy pop, and straight-ahead rock and punk won him a devoted following that has endured since arriving on the musical scene in the 1980s.
However, the trappings of fame was never likely to turn the head of this affable Geordie, who now lives quietly in the Highlands of Scotland.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
