I WAS ON THE ANTHONY PHILLIPS WEBSITE JUST NOW AND LOOK WHAT I FOUND...

OK I am obfuscating slightly. I had an email from the Cheesemeister earlier and he told me about it, but I went on the website of my own volition. On the front page there is a story that reads:

We are pleased to announce the forthcoming release of Seventh Heaven - a brand new collaboration between Ant and composer & arranger Andrew Skeet.

Seventh Heaven is a double album of co-written orchestral and acoustic portraits (featuring some outstanding arrangements by Andrew) which have been recorded by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir. Additional pieces have also been recorded with a string section and an orchestra of leading session musicians. The orchestral tracks are complimented by some acoustic guitar and piano pieces to create a rich and musically diverse collection.

Seventh Heaven is planned for release on April 23rd. More information on the album can be seen here.

There are also links to where you can hear some previews of the music. We will be having likewise on the blog as soon as my copy arrives so I can rip it. I like being an official bootlegger!

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
