THOM THE WORLD POET: The Daily Poem

"Thom the World poet is an old mate of mine from way back in my history. Even pre-dating Voiceprint, when I was running "Otter Songs" and Tom's poetry tapes and guest appearances with Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth and Mother Gong are well known and highly regarded. 

It just felt right to include a daily poem from Thom on our Gonzo blog and when I approached him to do so, he replied with in seconds!!! Thom is a great talent and just wants to spread poetry, light and positive energy across the globe. If we at Gonzo can help him do that - why not?" 

 THERE MUST BE A SPACE (WHERE WE ARE NOT)
RAINFORESTS BURN,RIVERS DO,TOO
We bring fire(we need to be warm).Be warned
This is not all we will do!Build walls(around-prisons
Make wars.Pollute.Promote tourist sites as "virginal"
Fly rich folk in for "eco-Tours".Allow them to buy islands.
Whole lands.So Johnny Depp buys back Sacred Lands
Sting busy Amazon rainforests.Leaves them away from loggers.
Indonesia burns.Sumatra clearfelled.Palm Oil deforestation.
We read labels -but it says"ORGANIC".Ask orang-utans!
Dispossessed indigenous and wildlife have no habitat.
We evict ourselves.Overpopulate.Suppurate in cities.Boiling point.Frogs
disappear.Birds and bees extinct.there MUST be a space we can move to .Another planet?
to pollute?Space junk and Star wars.Screening now in a Universe near you..
