LINK: CSN feature


I have always been a fan of Steven Stills, both in and out of CSN(&Y), and was particularly happy when Gonzo released the Steven Stillas/Manassas volume in the acclaimed 'Lost Broadcasts' series, because it gave me an excuse to blog about him. Like this...

If David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash walk onto the Majestic Theatre stage Friday sporting Olympic gold medals, it would come as a surprise, but maybe not aSave Now total shock. The harmony-singing trio has been golden for more than 40 years.

CSN came together in 1968 with a sound marked by close-harmony vocals and rock/folk. The trio brought plenty of experience to the group, Crosby from the Byrds, Stills via Buffalo Springfield and Nash with The Hollies. Almost exactly 43 years ago (3 a.m. Aug. 18, 1969, according to the Woodstock Wiki), Crosby Stills & Nash made their public debut on a big stage — a really big stage, the stage at the legendary Woodstock festival.
