ANNIE HASLAM: Jon finds himself getting sidetracked

I am currently continuing with my enormous job of editing and tidying up the voluminous artist pages on the Gonzo Website. I am still on the artists beginning with A, and (me being me) I am taking far longer than I should because I keep on being sidetracked. Today, for example, I reached Annie Haslam's artist page and I ended up not only listening to loads of stuff by Renaissance which I hadn't heard for years, but also checking out her exquisitely designed website from which I took this little news snippet, which I thought would interest you..

Hi Everyone...

I have some exciting news... Laura Kaye at Wood Violins (I periodically custom paint their 'Viper' electric violins) wrote to let me know that Lindsey Stirling, who is a VERY TALENTED contemporary violinist, has just released her new video on YouTube where she is playing the 'Victory' violin that I had painted.

Please check out this great video, she is a young powerhouse of talent about to explode onto the music scene.

Please pass on to your friends.

Love,

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
