GONZO WEEKLY MAGAZINE #60/1

I always promised that the Gonzo Daily publishing empire would spread "into more traditionally magaziney areas", and I wasn't lying. Yesterday I sent out #60/1 of the Gonzo Weekly newsletter, together with all sorts of exciting new features,  to nearly 2,000 subscribers.

This issue contains the legendary Merrell Fankhauser reminiscing about Captain Beefheart and an encounter with the Manson Family, what happened when Michael Des Barres met the 'Hendrix of the Cello', a new album for Yes, a look at the legendary 'Lamb lies down on Broadway' album by Genesis, unpublished photographs showing Liz Lenten as some sort of superhero, exciting news for Hawkwind fans, and columns by C J Stone and Doug Harr. There is the new XNA video and a photograph of Archie the Jack Russell dressed as Sherlock Holmes. There is also more news, reviews, gossip and general rambling than you can shake a stick at!

Please be warned: Magazines from #11 - #42  contain a cartoon at the bottom of the stressed out guy with the computer  Apparently someone has accused the public domain images site I got it from of hosting malware, and even though there was none found there by Google, the fact that I used an image from the site (perfectly legally) flagged our whole newsletter up as possibly containing malware. This should only effect people using Google Chrome, and I would strongly suggest that you click the 'proceed anyway' tab, and view the newsletter as you had originally planned...

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
