Yes Posts ‘In the Studio’ Images, Begin Working on New Album

yes in the studio 2014On their official Facebook page, prog-rock icons Yes posted a series of images under the headline ‘In the Studio – 2014′, along with the message ‘YES embark on the recording of their new album’. Ultimate Classic Rock pointed out that the musicians in the pictures include Steve Howe, John Davison, Chris Squire, Geoff Downes and Alan White, along with producer Roy Thomas Baker – leading many to speculate that this is the core group of musicians involved with the band’s new material. Yes’ most recent studio album was 2011′s Fly From Here, which featured Benoit David on vocals. Davison, included in these new studio images, joined the band in 2012 – so this new album will be his first with the group.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
