Rick sets off on a new journey

Rick WakemanRick Wakeman will be performing his album Journey To The Centre Of The Earth at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall May 2.

The tour around the UK has been extended and will mark the 40th anniversary of Rick Wakeman’s classic album and 150th anniversary of Jules Verne’s much-loved book.

Based on the novel by Jules Verne, the album is one of the rock era’s landmark achievements, a record that sold 15 million copies and rewrote the rules.

Rick Wakeman and The New World Symphony Orchestra, accompanied by The English Chamber Choir and the English Rock Ensemble, will celebrate this anniversary with a state of the art, dramatic, live presentation of this epochal, classical-rock crossover work.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
