MICHAEL DES BARRES: Another sneak peek at the new album

I took most of the day off today. It is something that I don't usually do, but I spent most of the day doing as little as I possibly could. It has been a long and difficult week, and both Corinna and I are far more tired than we would usually like to admit. I spent most of the day dozing with the orange cat or reading David Dalton's magnificent new Bob Dylan biography. However, this evening I was pootling about online (as is my wont) when I came across this video. Jesus it is magnificent.

I defy anyone to watch it without wanting to punch the air, or at least give a broad grin of empathy. Towards the end of the song Michael claims to be an anti-depressant. Too damn right!

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
