Al Atkins in Wagnerian metal project

The long-awaited Wagnerian opera metal project Lyraka Volume 2: Sonata Sirena is set for release August 29th, 2014, and contains vocal performances by Al Atkins (JUDAS PRIEST/ATKINS/MAY), Rob Diaz (VASTATOR), Veronica Freeman (BENEDICTUM), Robert Lowe (SOLITUDE AETERNUS, CANDLEMASS), and a vocal trio featuring Graham Bonnet (RAINBOW, ALCATRAZZ), Mark Boals (YNGWIE MALMSTEN, RING OF FIRE) and Liz Vandall (ULI JON ROTH and SAHARA).

Composer and lead guitarist for the project, Andy DiGelsomina, states: "Al Atkins vocally captured the sardonic, wry yet at times trickily self-effacing personality Jasmine Lyraka Aliara envisioned. My intro lead provided just that, a comic yet grudgingly admiring perspective of how others might see Semmonet, the vizier to the desert queen Lilliput.
