Far Out Man! Jefferson Starship to Release Live 4-CD Set

6/28/2012

Rock & Roll and Sci-Fi collided in 2009 at theRoswell UFO Parade & Festival when Jefferson Airplane founder Paul Kantner and his legendary band Jefferson Starship put on a one-of-a-kind sci-fi concert.

Now you can travel through time and space to experience the "out of this world" concert thanks to soon to be released 4-CD set.

"Tales From The Mothership" will include, not only the concert, but rehearsals from June 27th, 2009 and the band’s soundcheck before the show.

You'll find lots of your favorites on this 4-CD set including “White Rabbit”, “Somebody To Love”, “Volunteers” and “Wooden Ships”.

You gotta love how Jefferson Starship's new manager Michael Gaiman described the 4-CD Set: “It's not a documentary, not a 'rockumentary', not a 'mockumentary'...it's a 'Spockumentary,” Gaiman quips.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
