Dan Wooding talks about ‘Caped Crusader’ on his TV show

Dan Wooding, who each month hosts a one-hour live Internet TV show based in Southern California called “His Channel Live”, began his latest program last Tuesday, by holding up a copy his latest book, “Caped Crusader – Rick Wakeman in the 1970s” published by Gonzo Media Group.

Wooding’s guest on last Tuesday show, which goes out to 192 countries, was Chuck Girard, a well-known American singer-songwriter who is the lead singer with the group, Love Song, and before the interview began, Dan showed the viewers the cover of “Caped Crusader.”

“As my guest, who is also a keyboardist, began his long career in the late 1960s and early 1970s, I thought this would be an excellent time to introduce the 'Caped Crusader' book to our many viewers around the world,” said Wooding.

If you don’t know much about, Chuck Girard, he first found notoriety in the American secular rock music scene with hits such as “So This is Love” with the Castells. He gained even bigger notoriety he landed a number 1 hit with the iconic song called “Little Honda”, which was written by Beach Boy Brian Wilson and performed by the Hondells with Girard on lead vocals.

Girard had many top twenty hits and later became a born-again Christian, and in the early 1970’s along friends, Tommy Coomes, Jay Truax and John Mayall Girard formed the group Love Song. They revolutionized Christian music and gave birth to a whole new music form in the church that is still going strong today.

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
