IT'S ALL MARTIN STEPHENSON'S FAULT...

This morning I recounted the sad tale of how I was suupposed to interview Martin Stephenson yesterday, but we both fell asleep. I made some facile comment to him about Bank Holiday mondays, and in passing he said that someone ought to rewrite 'I don't like Mondays' by The Boomtown Rats.

He promptly forgot all about it, but I saw it as a challenge to my creativity, and together with Prudence the dog, Spider the orange cat, and my wife Corinna, got to work...

The plate of chips inside my head was set to overload
I didn't really want to go back to bed because I knew Rob Ayling told me
that I should interview this fab songwriter who'se records there are a few
BUT Martin Stephenson, wouldn't have been answering cos he fell asleep too oo oooo

Tell me why
Bank Holiday mondays
Bank Holiday Mondays
Bank holiday mondays
make you sleep oooooo the whole day through

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?

Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
