As regular readers will know, much thoughI love my younger step-daughter Olivia, we have very little musically in common. Basicvally she thinks I am a tedious old hippy, and I think that the music that she likes is self conasciously unpleasant on the ear (and I like Crass, even '10 Notes on a Summer's Day' and other chunks of avant noise). Much to my surprise, therefore she liked the Mimi Page album (as do I) so much that she has done her best to blag a copy from me.
I came across this the other day - a student film with music by Mimi. I think this little film is very interesting, and that Mimi's vocals on the Bassnectar track 'Butterfly' work particularly well in this contect. Tell me what you think:

...BECAUSE SOME OF US THINK THAT THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT
What happens when you mix what is - arguably - the world's most interesting record company, with an anarchist manic-depressive rock music historian polymath, and a method of dissemination which means that a daily rock-music magazine can be almost instantaneous?
Most of this blog is related in some way to the music, books and films produced by Gonzo Multimedia, but the editor has a grasshopper mind and so also writes about all sorts of cultural issues which interest him, and which he hopes will interest you as well.
