RICK WAKEMAN: THE GREATEST CAPE
Do I look like the sort of person who steals articles from The Sunday Express? Well, not usually, but when there is an article by Rick Wakeman himself, and especially an article with a contraceptive joke in it, I really couldn't resist. Right on Rick!Rick Wakeman

AS I WALKED on to the stage at the first Progressive Music Awards last Wednesday to collect the Prog God Award, I couldn’t help thinking this could never have happened 15 years ago. That was a time when progressive rock in all of its many guises (which included playing, listening to, performing and, in extreme cases, even speaking about it) was considered by many to be the equivalent of the Vatican announcing that it was installing a condom machine.
Things have changed, and how. There’s now a massive acceptance, love and understanding of progressive music and what it has given to musicians over the years, and this is clearly shown by the huge number of bands and artists these day who have incorporated some element of progressive music within their music.
