A COMMUNIQUE FROM MICHAEL DES BARRES (well actually, its not)

Now, more than ever, we need real Rock and Roll to unite and heal. Michael Des Barres adroitly utilizes the music we create with THE MICHAEL DES BARRES BAND to focus and direct the VERY TANGIBLE AND VERY REAL TRANSFORMATIVE POWERS OF REAL ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC with these simple and time-tested tools: guitars, basses, microphones, organs, pianos, drums, tambourines and amps. No samples, no loops, no digital chicanery. Right here, right now, we play it FOR REAL and we sing it, FOR REAL, people hear it FOR REAL and then we all dance, shake our asses, maybe even MAKE LOVE FOR REAL and in doing so, shake off the world and it's problems with SOLUTION: UNITY THROUGH SONIC ALCHEMY. And by shaking off the problem, we live in solution. Simple. Yes, it's redemptive. Escapist? Absolutely not. No one can deny THE HEALING POWER OF REAL ROCK AND ROLL. Everyone who I interact with after an MDB Band show FEELS BETTER than they did before we started that moment's glorious din.

I play and write songs with Michael Des Barres simply because he is a living, breathing, sweating, singing, testifying conduit of the REAL HEALING POWER OF MUSIC. Grammys should be awarded to those of us WHO EFFECT POSITIVE CHANGE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS THROUGH THE HEALING POWER OF OF THEIR MUSIC. Awards and Accolades to those who effect positive change in the lives of others!!! Nothing heals the soul like real Rock and Roll. Amen, brothers and sisters, amen. See you at our next show.
