Vulture capitalism? Executive Pay Rises? Globalism? -
ask your middle classes about job security (none! "Austerity"does not work (literally!)
Our "Knowledge Economy" has more engineers produced in China and India than here!
"Professionalisation" pumps out more unemployed graduates
into a diminishing labor market.China has a "Talent Strategy",actively seeking best and brightest
while our unemployment tithes our youth, paying off student loans, staying with their elders.
We witness "the Death of Human Capital", with devalued graduates and overqualified menial service workers
Schumpeter's "Test of Time" will show whether these changes are permanent/compounding
A "Global Auction" exists to headhunt for top executive material-poaching leaders of commerce/role models
"Digital Taylorism" means tasks can be offshored, exported - and not just factory work!
Multinational corporations morph into Transnational corporations - with private companies fulfilling basic governmental functions
Transport, water, utilities, jails - all privitised and "for-profit" - even when initially paid for on a tax base.
These changes affect every child born, as they grow into a world economy
and may work away from their birthplace, and change jobs many times in their life, on a contract basis
That is-if work can be found (or created).Venture capital and mini-loans and Angel Investors are part of the new world
As is KICKSTARTER and all those websites to assist entrepreneurs
We are in process.
Best to learn to adapt and change-or be left, bereft, nostalgic for mythical "Good Old Daze"
